Ken Lockwood Gorge
Ken Lockwood Gorge is designated by the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife as a trout conservation area. Raritan River’s South Branch winds for 2.5 miles through the gorge between Califon and High Bridge in Hunterdon County. Named for the outdoors writer and conservationist Ken Lockwood.
Round Valley Recreation Area
Round Valley Reservoir covers over 2000 acres and at near 180 feet, is the deepest lake in NJ. It offers boating, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking and picnicking. It is one of the few parks that has wilderness campsites that are accessible only by hiking or boating. In the winter months you will find cross country skiers and sledding enthusiasts.
The 70 mile D & R Canal Towpath follows along the canal from New Brunswick to Trenton and North to Frenchtown. For Hunterdon residents who are looking for a perfect ride with their children, you can access the path in Sergeantsville and ride south to Lambertville, stop for an lunch and take leisurely ride back.
Mt. Tammany, Delaware Water Gap

A steep 3.5 mile climb uphill for an amazing overlook of the Delaware Water Gap and Mt. Minsi on the PA side. Mt Tammany forms the east side of the Delaware Water Gap and is 1,526 feet tall.
